You and the Global Speakers Federation (GSF)

As a CAPS member, you belong to one of 14 associations who are part of the Global Speakers Federation (GSF). The GSF is a worldwide organization dedicated to expanding the speaking profession globally through the development and growth of associations of professional speakers.

Earlier this year, the GSF reorganized its governance model and with it came some new changes. One of these changes is that as an individual, you are not a member of the GSF, you have the benefit of being affiliated through your membership of CAPS. (Refer to end of article on how you can properly use the GSF logo).

There are many benefits for CAPS being a member of the GSF and for you too as an individual. Check out the benefits here and learn more about your global connection to the world of speaking.

joe-sherrenEach GSF member association has a Global Ambassador, and we are pleased to announce that CAPS Global Ambassador is Joe Sherren, CSP, HoF, Global Speaking Fellow. Please thank and welcome Joe who just accepted this role recently vacated by Bob Hooey – thank you Bob for all you did for both the GSF and CAPS during your term.

Through KeyNotes and the CAPS Facebook Experts Who Speak group, Joe will now help spread the news to you each month about all things GSF. With all his experience and passion for the global speaker’s community, we know he will keep us abreast of what is happening in the world of speaking.

Can you use the GSF logo on your website and marketing materials?
The GSF updated its logo earlier in 2017. You may use the logo in conjunction with the CAPS logo along with the following statement:
Member of CAPS. CAPS is very proud to be a part of the Global Speakers Federation
Feel free to reach out to me with any questions about the Global Speakers Federation or the Global Speakers Summit! Hope to see you in Auckland in February. And of course, Ottawa, in just a few weeks!
