Building a Speaking and Training Business That is Bigger than You
You’ve built a successful speaking business and moved from surviving to thriving. Your journey may include achieving the success you always dreamed about financially while wondering how you can sustain that level of effort and results over the long haul.
In this session, Greg Schinkel CSP shares valuable insights from his 32 year journey in building a self-managing training and performance systems business.
- The elation and despair of delivering 100 or more days per year.
- What large clients really want and are willing to pay for.
- Pricing that reflects your value and allows you to make money even when other people deliver your content.
- Opportunities to package your expertise to leverage a team to expand your capacity.
- Building a speaking and training business that is self-managing so you can work on only what you are passionate about.
Greg Schinkel, CSP has owned, along with his wife Robin, Canadian-based Unique Training & Development and Michigan-based Front Line Leadership Systems since 1992. The companies provide leadership training to leading manufacturing companies in Canada, the USA, Mexico and South America in English, Spanish and French. He is a 20+ year member of CAPS and served as National President in 2020.
After landing his first 7-figure training contract in 2010, and trying to deliver everything himself, Greg learned the hard way that you can’t realistically deliver a large volume of work personally year after year. Out of necessity, Greg built a team to deliver client projects and now gets to focus on doing things he loves, vs things he is good at.
