On Friday June 16, 2017 we learned that Amazon planned to purchase Whole Foods, a US organic supermarket chain, for $13.7 billion. While there have since been numerous news pieces analyzing the deal and what it means for grocery sales, and retail in general as this huge online player disrupts the distribution system with the addition of 460 locations, it was great to see CAPS Atlantic member Peter Chapman, President of grocery consultancy GPS Business Solutions in Nova Scotia, being quoted as an expert in his field in this Globe and Mail article.
Congratulations Peter, you shared some great insights! We’re always thrilled to profile the successes of our members as they are consulted by the media as knowledgeable and articulate experts in their field.
