Your New Business Card; The Benefits of Self-Publishing Your Book

In this presentation, we delve into the advantages of creating your own book as a strategic tool for business growth and provide insights into utilizing your book as a dynamic marketing tool. We’ll briefly overview where to start, elements of a great entrepreneurial book, and explain how self-publishing can be more beneficial to your business than going the traditional route as well as what services are available to you when choosing to work with a professional services company. From there, we’ll dive into the benefits a book has to your brand and cover some effective marketing ideas to maximize its impact on your speaking career. You’ll leave this presentation with the inspiration and next actionable steps to create and harness the potential of your next self-published book to help you elevate your brand.

Leanne Janzen

Starting her journey in the publishing world, Leanne began working as a Publishing Specialist – guiding self-publishing authors through the process with care and attention. Her ability to form relationships and desire to continually improve and learn led her to the University of Winnipeg. There, Leanne completed Leadership training shortly before transitioning to her new role with FriesenPress as Sales Manager. Her passion for educating others on the current publishing landscape and the benefits of self-publishing led her to establish a successful speaking program at FriesenPress, where she and her team present virtually and in person to organizations and groups around North America. When she is not keeping busy with her children and dogs (there are three of both!), you can find her on the beach with a good book and a glass of wine in hand.
