CAPS Connections
In this unique and sometimes solitary profession, CAPS provides a link to essential relationships, partnerships, and mentorship you didn't know you (or your business) needed. Make valued connections with peers and fellow thought-leaders to network, troubleshoot, and learn. Plus, gain friendships and knowledge to last a lifetime.
Chapters
CAPS supports local chapters from east to west that provide in-person events, networking, virtual opportunities, and camaraderie for members across the country.
Local Chapters
CAPS Members have the benefit of in-person meetings through local chapter events and virtual meetings hosted from across the country.
Global Connections
Because CAPS is a member of the Global Speakers Federation, your membership gives you access to speaking events and opportunities the world over.
These global connections can help you expand your learning, and grow your speaking business worldwide.

CAPS Communities
Think of a CAPS Community as a professional development group led by members for members. These communities focus on specific business-building topics, and groups meet regularly to work through the program set out by the community leader.
CAPS Communities are open to all members as a benefit of your membership and are consistently rated as one of the top perks of membership.
Explore some of our most popular communities below… AND, if you’re not yet a member of CAPS, explore membership options here.

New Members
New to CAPS? This community helps you unpack all the benefits of your CAPS membership, meet other new members, and get the most out of your investment.

Weekly Focus Hour
This community meets once a week to complete work goals in the company of other members. State your project, mute your audio, and dig in for an hour of focused work. Yes, THAT task, that you keep procrastinating on, will get done on Friday mornings!

High Income Earners
You’ve taken your business to great heights and value the collaboration and conversation you get with other high-earning members. This group provides that opportunity.

Storytelling
Great speakers know that great feedback and audience engagement often boils down to one, simple thing: Likability. How does one become more likable? Choosing, crafting, and performing stories that feel resonate — after all, those are the most memorable ones. If you want to level up your storytelling game while getting and giving feedback, join the Storytelling Community!

Stoicism for Professional Speakers
Discover how Stoic principles can elevate your speaking career in this engaging CAPS group. Together, we’ll explore resilience, emotional mastery, and practical wisdom from Stoicism to help you navigate challenges, stay grounded, and lead with clarity. Strengthen your mindset and message to inspire audiences with greater impact and confidence.

SpeakerFlow Power Users
If you have SpeakerFlow and you want to use it more of its features, more often, this group is for you. Our primary activity will be coworking, i.e. silent work time, on Zoom. Each session, we'll spend the first five minutes sharing our goals, the next 110 getting the work done, and in the last five minutes, we’ll celebrate our wins.

AI for Professional Speakers
A community for professional speakers who want to discover ways in which generative AI can help us work smarter, not harder. We’ll explore tools and techniques for content creation, and we’ll share practical ways to grow our businesses by leveraging AI. Topics like marketing, sales, ethics and intellectual property will also be part of our ongoing monthly conversations. Beginners welcome!

Sales & Revenue Community: Generating Revenue with Off-Stage Offerings
The CAPS Sales & Revenue Community helps speakers boost income by creating and selling off-stage offerings like workshops, coaching, and digital products. We explore practical sales strategies, marketing tactics, and real-world tools to turn expertise into scalable revenue. Join us to learn from peers, sharpen your approach, and grow your speaking business beyond the stage.

Developing a Consulting Practice
This Community is about sharing and supporting each other as we build our consulting practices. Monthly conversations will be facilitated by Kelly Penner Hutton; there will be no specific agenda. We will focus on questions, concerns, and topics that members want to explore throughout our time together.
