Past presidents have shared advice, insights, and tips with me that I truly believe apply to many of us, so I\u2019m excited to pass them along. Michelle Cederberg said, \u201cYou are good at so many things\u2014and yes, you are, right? You will step into this role and shine. Because of that, the tendency is to do everything at your level. But delegation is what truly saves you. Empower others to step up after you. You have so many skills\u2014let others grow theirs too.\u201d Such a powerful reminder that many of us can embrace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ravi Tangri also shared, \u201cYou run everything, you do it all, but now you\u2019re a leader. Your job is not to be in the weeds\u2014it\u2019s to make sure the job gets done. You have boards, and they are amazing. It\u2019s time to renew your membership. The April 1st deadline has already passed, but there may still be a short grace period\u2014so act quickly if you haven\u2019t renewed yet. Otherwise, you may need to repay the initiation fee. Ideally, take care of it now if it\u2019s still pending.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I received a message this week from Michelle Castillo, who has been my web engineer for years. She found an email she sent me back in February 2017. It read, \u201cHey Nathalie, I\u2019m sitting at a table at a women\u2019s event, and the lady beside me\u2014Jen DeTracey\u2014is a member of CAPS. Have you heard of them? They have an event coming up\u2014you should go.\u201d And the rest is history. Nine years later, here I am as your CAPS President. So here\u2019s a question for you: who will you invite this month? Who will you send that message to? That person could be sitting in this role in the future. Let\u2019s spread the word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More CAPS news: the call for speakers for our Show Business Convention (December 5\u20137) is now open. I strongly encourage you to apply. Speaking in front of other speakers can feel intimidating, but it\u2019s one of the best ways to grow your craft and get noticed. Personally, I would never refer a speaker I haven\u2019t seen in action. This will be incredibly valuable if you\u2019re looking to grow your corporate client base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019ll also be visiting all chapters this year, starting in BC on April 18, presenting alongside Azadeh Yaraghi and Nathan Aswell. I\u2019ll be speaking about sales\u2014especially if selling feels uncomfortable or even painful. While I don\u2019t consider myself a traditional sales expert, I\u2019ve built a strong speaking business, and I\u2019ll be sharing the strategies, pipelines, and mindset shifts that helped me reach the high-income earners group. I\u2019ll be hosting the Friday morning accountability group\u2014a focused hour to tackle something you\u2019ve been procrastinating on. Watch for more details in your email and join us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">GLOBAL SPEAKERS SUMMIT<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now, let\u2019s talk about GSS 2026. I recently returned from Australia, where I was not only enjoying the experience\u2014petting koalas, feeding kangaroos, and yes, enjoying some ice cream\u2014but also representing CAPS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before the conference began, I participated in the Global Speaking Federation (GSF) board meeting. It was a valuable half-day session, and I\u2019m bringing back insights to our national board. A special thank you to Ron Tsang, our GSF representative for the past three years, for his outstanding service and leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">GSF represents associations, not individuals\u2014so as CAPS members, you are indirectly part of it. New this year is the Global Speakers Network, which allows individual speakers to connect worldwide through learning sessions, masterminds, and collaborations. It\u2019s a fantastic way to learn how others are doing business across the globe. You can join for $99US. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globalspeakersfederation.net\/gsn \" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.globalspeakersfederation.net\/gsn <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">GSF is also launching mastermind intensives in Lisbon, Portugal this October\u2014three days, five topics, and small groups of 12 participants. It\u2019s a powerful opportunity for deep learning and global connection.<a href=\" https:\/\/www.globalspeakersfederation.net\/mmmc \"> https:\/\/www.globalspeakersfederation.net\/mmmc <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the summit, we also represented CAPS at the international day, showcasing CAPS Academy and promoting our convention. I\u2019m excited to share that we\u2019ve built new international partnerships, expanding our reach to countries including Malaysia, India, South Africa, Germany, and Australia, alongside our existing partnerships with the UK, Ireland, and France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the highlights was our Canadian dinner\u2014bringing together Canadians from all over the world. Some are still based in Canada, others live abroad, but it was a special moment of connection and community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We also hosted a late-night watch party for the GSF live broadcast on YouTube\u201412 hours of incredible content. Yes, it started at 1:00 AM for us, which is very late for me, but absolutely worth it. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=nAdMxrxzeKQ&amp;list=PLjZSjRyEW8QIBW3tqtsEbYWAjSspuoAua \" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=nAdMxrxzeKQ&amp;list=PLjZSjRyEW8QIBW3tqtsEbYWAjSspuoAua <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I also had the honor of presenting on the main stage and participating in the launch of the book <em>Global Voices: Shaping the Future<\/em>, which is now a number-one bestseller on Amazon. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.ca\/Global-Voices-Shaping-Future-Leadership-ebook\/dp\/B0GQQS6S9J\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.amazon.ca\/Global-Voices-Shaping-Future-Leadership-ebook\/dp\/B0GQQS6S9J<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The next Global Speakers Summit will take place in Germany from September 14 to 17 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, near Munich. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gss2028.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.gss2028.com\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One thing that truly stood out during the summit was the reputation of CAPS. Everywhere I went, people said, \u201cYou\u2019re from CAPS? Wow, CAPS is amazing.\u201d That reputation belongs to all of you\u2014the leaders, volunteers, and members who have built this incredible community over the years. I was simply proud to represent it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CAPS NATIONAL BOARD FEATURE<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For this month\u2019s CAPS Board Feature, I\u2019d like to recognize Barb Stuhlemmer and Robin O\u2019Grady, our chapter liaisons. They are the connection between national and the chapters, supporting all chapter leadership teams across regions. Their leadership and dedication ensure that everything stays aligned and supported. Je reviens tout juste d\u2019Australie o\u00f9, en plus de profiter de l\u2019exp\u00e9rience \u2014 caresser des koalas, nourrir des kangourous et savourer quelques glaces \u2014 je repr\u00e9sentais CAPS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Avant le d\u00e9but de la conf\u00e9rence, j\u2019ai particip\u00e9 \u00e0 la r\u00e9union du conseil du Global Speaking Federation (GSF). Une rencontre tr\u00e8s enrichissante dont je rapporte plusieurs id\u00e9es \u00e0 notre conseil national. Merci tout sp\u00e9cial \u00e0 Ron Tsang, notre repr\u00e9sentant au GSF depuis trois ans, pour son excellent travail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le GSF repr\u00e9sente des associations, non des individus \u2014 vous \u00eates donc membres de CAPS, qui lui-m\u00eame est membre du GSF. Nouveaut\u00e9 cette ann\u00e9e : le Global Speakers Network, qui permet aux conf\u00e9renciers de se connecter \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle mondiale \u00e0 travers des formations, masterminds et collaborations. Vous pouvez joindre le network pour $99US. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globalspeakersfederation.net\/gsn \" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.globalspeakersfederation.net\/gsn <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le GSF lance aussi des masterminds intensifs \u00e0 Lisbonne en octobre : trois jours, cinq th\u00e9matiques, groupes de 12 participants. Une opportunit\u00e9 exceptionnelle d\u2019apprentissage et de connexion. <a href=\" https:\/\/www.globalspeakersfederation.net\/mmmc \">https:\/\/www.globalspeakersfederation.net\/mmmc <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lors du sommet, nous avons repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 CAPS lors de la journ\u00e9e internationale, en mettant en valeur la CAPS Academy et notre convention. Nous avons \u00e9galement d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 de nouveaux partenariats internationaux, notamment avec la Malaisie, l\u2019Inde, l\u2019Afrique du Sud, l\u2019Allemagne et l\u2019Australie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un moment fort a \u00e9t\u00e9 notre souper canadien, r\u00e9unissant des Canadiens du monde entier. Un magnifique moment de connexion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nous avons aussi particip\u00e9 \u00e0 une veille tardive pour regarder la diffusion en direct du GSF sur YouTube \u2014 12 heures de contenu incroyable.
