This is your president, Mark Black, with your message for October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I can\u2019t believe we\u2019re already in October! I hope you\u2019re having a fantastic fall and gearing up for a strong finish to 2025. There\u2019s a lot happening within CAPS and your leadership team right now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Chapter Leadership Summit<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We just wrapped up an amazing <strong>Chapter Leadership Summit<\/strong>!<br>A big thanks goes out to <strong>Barb<\/strong> and <strong>Robin<\/strong> on the national board for organizing such a great event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was a wonderful two days spent listening, learning, and collaborating with chapter leaders from across the country. Together, we explored ways to make CAPS the best it can possibly be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our chapter leaders left recharged, rejuvenated, and ready to serve their members. Thank you to each of you for the time and energy you dedicate to your chapters \u2014 CAPS wouldn\u2019t be what it is without you. As a national board, we\u2019re here to support you in any way we can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">National Board Nominations<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You may have noticed an important message in your inbox recently \u2014 <strong>nominations for the CAPS National Board<\/strong> are now open!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019re someone who\u2019s interested in getting more involved with CAPS, now is your chance. Maybe you\u2019re a current chapter leader, or you\u2019ve served in the past and are ready to contribute at the national level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We\u2019ll be holding elections soon, and all board positions must be ratified by the end of the year. Serving on the national board is a rewarding experience \u2014 I can tell you from my own journey through chapter leadership, national service, and now the presidency that <strong>the more you give to CAPS, the more you get from CAPS<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019d like to talk with a current board member about what it\u2019s like to serve, we\u2019d be happy to share our experiences and answer any questions. I encourage you to consider putting your name forward \u2014 if you have something to offer, we\u2019d love to have you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Upcoming CAPS Town Hall<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also in your inbox, you should see an <strong>invitation to our upcoming CAPS Town Hall<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We\u2019ll be making an important announcement about <strong>changes to the membership criteria<\/strong> \u2014 part of our effort to welcome more members into the CAPS community while maintaining the integrity of our professional standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This event is also a great opportunity to share your thoughts, ask questions, and have your voice heard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Be sure to <strong>register<\/strong> using the link in your email to receive the meeting access.<br>If you can\u2019t find the invitation, just email <strong><a>info@canadianspeakers.org<\/a><\/strong>, and we\u2019ll send you a new one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">CAPS Convention in Halifax<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And of course, we\u2019re all looking forward to seeing everyone in <strong>Halifax this December<\/strong> for the <strong>CAPS Convention<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our amazing co-chairs, <strong>Ravi and Tyler<\/strong>, are working hard to create an unforgettable experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019ve already paid your early bird deposit but haven\u2019t completed your registration, please do so soon to secure your spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you haven\u2019t registered yet, there\u2019s still time \u2014 visit \ud83d\udc49 <a href=\"https:\/\/canadianspeakers.org\">canadianspeakers.org<\/a> and click on <strong>Convention<\/strong>, or go directly to <a>capsconvention.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The CAPS Convention is always an incredible opportunity to connect, learn, and grow.
