CAPS is a professional association for people involved in the speaking business. Our members are versatile and diverse. They represent all aspects of the speaking business. All make their living, or part of their living, speaking to and/or working with groups as keynoters, trainers and facilitators.
CAPS is committed to building a better future for the professional speaking business in Canada. We help our members succeed in their speaking businesses through learning partnerships, market development and professional accreditation. We also support international advancement of the speaking profession through our participation in and support for the International Federation for Professional Speakers.

What you get for your CAPS membership
The ROI on Membership
CAPS offers several categories of membership. Qualifications for the Professional and Candidate categories are based on income, experience and willingness to abide by our Code of Professional Ethics. Supplier memberships are open to bureaus, meeting planners, suppliers, salaried speakers and people from other industry related groups.
CAPS is a learning community. Our highly rated annual convention is our flagship learning and community building opportunity. (Mark your calendars: the CAPS 14th Annual Convention December 5th - December 7th, 2010 in Montreal, Quebec. The chapters also provide educational and networking opportunities throughout the year. Whatever your focus, your experience level or your stage of development, if you are a speaker, CAPS is the professional community that can help you discover what it will take to move your business to the next level.
Although we are a young organization, we are proud of our accomplishments. In this short time our members have developed ten chapters covering Canada from Vancouver to Halifax. We are strong and we are growing.
