Ever wonder what one sales action generates the greatest revenues?  Or which marketing activity can give you the greatest visibility to your decision makers?

Come to this casual behind-the-scenes dialogue to learn:

  • the one single activity that has lead to more than 80% of Peri's business
  • the one change in sales activity that has more than tripled some clients' sales
  • the new product format to stabilize your business
  • the technology to give you more control of how you are seen on the web
  • and more ....

You'll also gain access to some helpful resources and where to go to take the next quantum leap in your marketing.   The focus will be on how you can deliver your compelling value to more people while generating greater revenues.

P.S.  there is one other idea I'm thinking of adding as a bonus ... the one 30-minute per week marketing activity that increases your visibility on the web.

Peri Shawn helps sales executives and their teams to sell more, better, more often and sooner without the expense of taking the frontline team off the job for even one day of training.  Her client list includes RBC Insurance, Rogers Wireless, Canadian Tire Financial Services and Direct Energy.  And as you know, Peri Shawn is your 2010 CAPS National President.  Knowing you are a busy speaker, you'll get real world ideas to increase your revenues ... the greatest sales impact from the fewest number of activities.

Who should attend: Anyone involved in training.

Do you ever wonder...

Why does some training make total sense and other sessions leave you asking “What was the point of that?”
Why sometimes your training is a hit? And other days it flops?
Designing training that meet the needs of ALL the members of your audience is a carefully constructed “art”.

In this hands-on session, you will:

  • Gain insight into the four learning styles
  • Identify your personal learning style
  • Learn how to design learning activities that satisfy the needs of ALL learners

Upon completion of this session, you will:

  • Be aware of the four steps involved in designing an effective learning event;
  • Have identified your natural learning style;
  • Be able to name the four learning styles and identify the key characteristics of each; and
  • Know how to use the templates provided to design learning activities.

And more…

You’ll walk away with templates to help you design learning activities and lists of activities to make your training sessions more interactive. Learner engagement increases learner retention.  You will create your Personal Action Plan for increasing the “E” (engagement/effective) factor in your sessions and implementing your learnings.

If you are serious about increasing the effectiveness of your training sessions -- then you need to be at this session!

Janet Stewart-Lussier works with organizations to create high-performance workplace teams by providing leaders and their staff with interpersonal skills training and development that leads to improved employee effectiveness, productivity and efficiency. Your voice delivers your message and greatly influences the way your listeners will process it. Is your voice working for you or against you?

As a Speaker, your voice is the single most important communication instrument you have onstage, in your videos and CDs...  Are you stuck with the voice you have? How can you improve your eloquence?

Through the Multidimensional Voice Training Program, an approach based on years of experience as a Hollywood Movie Narrator, Stage Professional, and Classic Singer, Nabil will share little-known tips and insights that will make your presentation come alive.
With simple excercises and proven delivery techniques, you will develop the hidden potential of your voice to captivate your audience with a compelling and melodic speech while creating a lasting impact!

You will learn how to:

  • Craft your speech to enhance your voice delivery
  • Understand how your voice is deeply connected to your body
  • Improve the sound of your voice, protect it and nurture it through simple daily excercices
  • Engage the right hemisphere of the brain to communicate on a deeper level
  • Have fun while experimenting with rehearsing techniques

In this highly interactive session (don’t forget to bring a copy of your speech!) the following elements will be explained in an engaging and entertaining style, using audiovisual elements, anecdotes, and demonstrations:

  • The Vocal Instrument :  The mechanics of the voice through the 3 main pillars : Power Breathing, Power Projection and Power Connection
  • The Message:  You are the Conductor of the elements of your speech. True symphony arises when words are carefully selected; sounds are skillfully projected; intention is clearly communicated; and energy is  properly harnessed.

You will have a chance to practice with your own script, playing with sounds, vowels, consonants and various background music to make your speech come alive.

Presentation Description

Most CAPS members are aware of the "Get Better; Get Busier BootCamp" for speakers that Warren runs with Kit Grant CSP HoF in support of Laura’s Hope. Well over 100 speakers from several countries have made the trip to Calgary to get the hands-on coaching that will help them refine their message and deliver it with more impact.

Sneaker Camp is a slimmed down version of BootCamp.  It was created when a group of Toronto Chapter speakers approached Warren and explained that, for a variety ofreasons, they were not ready to invest 3 days and $4,000 plus travel to go to BootCamp.  But they wanted his help, and so Sneaker Camp (as they called it) was born.

Sneaker Camp is shorter, less expensive, and local.

Ottawa Chapter is pleased to bring Sneaker Camp to our members, here in Ottawa.

On Thursday, October 7, Warren will spend a full day, with a maximum of 8 colleagues, working on their individual material, using their personal style, and taking their stage presence up a notch. This day will actually start with a half hour meeting the night before, immediately following our Chapter meeting. The cost is $1,197 per person.

This is not a sit-and-take-notes seminar. It is all “get up and do your stuff: now let’s make it better”. Everybody gets one-on-one time. You may record yourself and Warren’s feedback if you wish. Registration is transferable, not refundable.  To be one of the 8, Click here to register.

About the Presenter:

Warren Evans is a trends analyst and professional speaker based near Toronto Canada, serving clients in two dozen countries on 6 continents. He is widely recognized not only as a master presenter, but also as one of the most knowledgeable people in our business.

He is a Past-President of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers, and one of only 16 people inducted into the Canadian Speaking Hall of Fame.   He is a recipient of the prestigious International Ambassador Award from the NSA (only 8 have been awarded in the past 30 years). He was also the Founding Chairman of the International Federation of Professional Speakers.

Warren is also involved in philanthropic activities, serving as Chairman of the Board of Governors of Laura's Hope, a global medical research initiative.
