Seriously Fun Ways to Enhance Learning and Make it Stick!

Monday afternoon
September 13, 2010
1:00 – 4:00 pm

When preparing or delivering a keynote address or training workshop, do you sometimes struggle to come up with a catchy and attention grabbing way to begin and end your session?  Do you find it challenging to incorporate fun, interactive ways to keep your audience’s attention (especially if the content you are presenting is a bit “dry”)? Or do you ever have difficulty managing “challenging” participant behaviours?

If you have experienced any of these challenges, this fun, interactive and engaging workshop is for you!

Join us on September 13, 2010 where you will learn how to:

- Use a variety of icebreakers to engage and warm up your participants

- Start and end your presentations/workshops in a dynamic way

- Include energizers when appropriate

- Use a variety of techniques to make dry material more interactive and participant focussed

- Engage quiet learners and manage “hecklers”

- Encourage and manage questions effectively

- Incorporate quick reviews to reinforce learning

This workshop will familiarize you with the key principles of adult learning that, when incorporated into a presentation/workshop, will help you to get and hold your audience’s attention while enhancing not only what your audience learns but encourages them to incorporate what they learn on the job.

Program Highlights:
- Learn the difference between an “icebreaker” and “energizer” and when and how to incorporate each appropriately in your presentations/workshops

- Use a simple four step process to begin and end your presentations in a dynamic way

- Incorporate more than 8 different interactive techniques to quickly and effectively engage learners during your presentation

- Engage quiet learners, manage domineering participants and deal effectively (and respectfully) with side discussions that can distract and derail your presentation

- Minimize the common mistakes presenters make during question and answer sessions

- Utilize fun and engaging ways to revisit/reinforce your message to solidify learning and encourage behavior change
